 | Pt 12716. There is an interesting fact about Pt 12716. The elevation of Pt 12716 is mislabeled on all maps as 12,681. A benchmark at the summit of Pt 12716 lists the peak's elevation as 12,716. Gerry Roach verified the peak's elevation as 12.716. Since Comanche Pk has an elevation of 12,702 and less than 300 feet of prominence above its saddle with Pt 12716, Comanche Pk becomes just a false summit of Pt 12716 (according to the Colorado Summit Criterion). Thus, Pt 12716 is the 27th highest ranked summit in RMNP, and Comanche Pk is an unranked summit. | |
